its just a chev 350 one, i got mine on ebay, a chrome one with 110 amp for 69$, no special brackets, it bolts right in to to the stock bracket, just flip it upside down

Did ya run a 3 wire or single wire tyler?
I found a few different ones on ebay, found a 140 amp +, what do we need to run a killer stereo and air system etc? i was gonna use my optima and add a capacitor, what ya'll think?

the one i run i got from mechman alternators. 280 amps buddy mechman.com is there website. thats a big enough alty to run a system and hid kit and what ever else you need. but i always recommend adding another battery to vehicles with larger systems.

here is a pic of my old 250 amp alty from mechman......

next to the stock one lol.

i used this alternator and 3 group 31 batteries with roughly 16000 watts of clamped power in my competition truck.

so single wire?

yeah man, you have a ground wire and then the hot wire. that is all. very easy to install. i have the exact same alternator that tyler has on my 83. works like a champ. just gotta do like tyler said and install it upside down.

Tyler, truck is looking freakin sick bro.
