will the 2600i transmissions bolt up to 2.2 or 2.o block? i can buy 2 mazda 4x4 trucks with the crap 2600 engines, one has a rod knockin the ohter is torn apart.. i will part out the boxes and fenders also. Im in spokane,wa

might be possible if you swap the bell housing off the 2000/2200 tranny and put it on the 2600 tranny and use a 2600 clutch plate... my neighbor suggested i do this with his tranny out of his 2200 for my b2600 if mine goes out...

no the bell housings are different and the transmissions are different period. you'd be better off just finding a 2000 or 2200 tranny

so are you saying you cant unbolt the bell from the b2600i and bolt it onto the 2200 tranny? i cant imagine why that wouldnt work so long as you used the clutch plate with the right amount of splines for the tranny you are using... use the pressure plate and flywheel that went with the motor, clutch plate that matches tranny... it just sounds feasible to me...
