1993 Mazda B2600i 4x4.

First the truck was running great then it just died , So i got a call from the owner to have a look at it for him . No Spark at first so I went in to check fuses and what not , then I gaver a Crank and she fired (All fuses are good) , So then I let it run for a bit after about 2 minutes DEAD , No stumble no nothing .....SO WTF I thought then inside the cap i could here Spark Firing with the engine off ????? , Also the Relay Located on the Bottom of the kick Panel Driver side (I think its right below the ignition Module) Is Clickin ON OFF on OFF ... So I Started looking around in there Checking Connectors and such then Cranked it over and she fired again! Then Died!

I got no Manual for this truck , I was wondering If anyone can give me some Advice here , Maby About Relay Locations , are info about this Problem.

Short in the electrical system or a poor ground somewhere. There are I think 4 grounds on the Maz truck as follows: One at the battery that grounds to right fender, one that grounds the engine to the firewall, one that grounds the cab to the chassis, and one that grounds the coil. Locate these, remove the ground screw, clean the ground with fine grit paper and reattach and see if that helps. There is an igniter module inside the dist cap. It may be bad as well, but usually when it fails, it fails completely, not a little at a time.Take the cover off the steering column (2 screws) and see if the switch wiring looks ok and has tight connections.Beyond that, I am not much help, but random elec problems are biotches to locate and remedy.bj

Bump.2600i trucks have an issue with their computers going bad about 100k miles. The computer is located at the right (pass side) kick panel. Unplug it ,open it up and if u see what appears to be a small brown or "burned" spot on the motherboard, there is ur problem. Some dude in Florida rebuilds them for about a bill and a half and does a good job so I understand. The symptoms sound about like what u r describing.bj

Definitely sounds like it could be a problem with the ecm like bj said. This place rebuilds the computers and does good pretty work.
