my truck sat for a week cause i went on vacation come back i drove it around and it ran fine the next day i started drivein it and now if i mash on the brakes thrpms fall and truck dies out any ideas? it has a new carb on ir since feb of this year. i thinking the floats are stuck or possible a vacum line got knocked off. i ran some carb cleaner throu it and it still does it... now the truck when its sitting and idlin the idle is up and down from 1500rpm to 0 and it dies.

Sounds like a vacuum problem to me. Id check the vacuum lines and see if one has come off or is cracked.

mine did the same thing... but i ripped my truck apart before fixing the problem because i planned on doing a Weber with the pace setters and a full engine rebuild... but it will be interesting to see what the problem is... good luck with it

HAHAHAHAHAHA i said that exact same thing to my buddy when i read the thread name. i said push in the clutch when you stop, not just the brakes. we laughed. im not carb'd so i cant say anything about fixing the issue other than check vacuum lines

My first truck had this. Vacuum line coming from your break boost. I 4th the notion.
