engine won't start

hey guys, may be some one on here might be able to help me on this, i got a 86 b2000 thats been sitting around for while and it lost it's clutch fluid could that be the reason why it won't start, and i realize hat it could be other things but if everything else is working, could that be the reason? any advice would be helpful!
