I have a 2200 with a weber... Since removing the old carb and installing my weber I have started noticing the top of the valve cover has been putting out oil... Is this normal? do I need to plug this hole? or what?

mine did the same thing. you can put a small breather filter right there to help

I put a filter on mine but it still shoots some oil out of the filter. I've learned to deal with it.

Well I'm glad to know theres not anything really screwed up with it...but sorry to hear all you guys have to deal with the oil everywhere too lol

I wonder if you can put an oil catch can on the truck. I put one on my civic I had and it worked pretty good. Route one hose from the valve cover to the can, then from the can to a nipple mounted under the weber air filter. It would act like factory and let the carb pull the pressure off the valve cover

engine blowby. Exhaust gets past the rings and into the crankcase causing oil to come out of the valve cover breather.

How do you fix that problem? I not replace the rings yikes.

** typo I hope don't have to replace the piston rings yikes.

you could try putting in a new valve cover gasket that might work.
