Ok I have a 93 b2200 with a 2.2 and I have a little blue smoke coming out when the truck is idealing. Runs strong and good. Drives great. I start the truck probably 4-6 times a week to move it and wash it but only actually drive it about once a week. Any ideas why I have blue smoke and how to fix it? only smokes during ideal or atleast so little when driving i cant see it and doesnt poor smoke out just enough i can smell it and see it

thanks

also oil level is fine so im not low on oil

well its either being passed by the rings or the valve seals into the cylinder and being burnt

. . .
Before I would go to the trouble and expense of replacing bearings and rings,

I would do a compression test and verify that is where the problem is, due to low compression.

Maybe you have a bad float or float needle in the carburetor, allowing for a rich condition.

I would verify you don't have inexpensive causes before investing invasive work and then finding out the problem still exists.

How many miles are on the engine, and how many miles are on the oil since the last oil change.

Maybe all you have to do is an oil change.

What does the oil look and smell like?

If it smells like gasoline, you have fuel getting dumped into it, thinning it out.

Maybe the fuel pump is dumping fuel because it has a ruptured internal seal.

Fuel diluted (contaminated) oil causes low compression.

And smoking.

truck has about 134000 on the motor last oil change was maybe 1000 miles ago probably not that and it does smell like its running rich

PUll the dipstick, rub some oil on your fingers, and smell a sample of the oil.

If it smells like fuel, it doesn't matter how old it is, because it will not lubricate properly due to thin out.

If it is fuel diluted, it needs to be changed.

If your truck is anything like almost every other Mazda, it is really likely the mixture control solenoid in the carburetor has started to fail. When it does, fuel dumping occurs.

To check a fuel pump for failure internally, if yo have one on the right rear coner of the cylinder head, you can shine a strong light on it, and look for oil on the bottom half of the part that looks like a flying saucer. There is a hole that oil will come out of when the pump starts to fail. It will still pump fuel, but some of the fuel is being pumped past the internal diaphragm into the cylinder head.
