well.
im a new owner to my 2200 103,000 miles . its fuel injected and i picked it up in la and drove it to nor cal right after buying it. and a day after getting home it started loosing power on the road. bogging out anything past 1/4 throttle. so i pulled over at a kragen and begain tossing parts at it. plugs wires cap and rotor coil. seemed to make it okay for a minute then stranded me on the side of the road. read a bunch about computers failing so i order a computer. didn't change anythying. so after digging into it i replaced the fuel pump and then tossed a fuel pressure gauge on it and according to the haynes book i should be seeing 65 to 85 psi. and i was getting about 30-35 so i pulled the return line and plugged it with my finger and boom the timing was jacked up to 20-30 degrees so i dropped it down ran like a champ! so i replaced the fuel reg. annnnd got the no start again. same fuel pressure. WTF! so i pulled the new fuel reg and installed the old one and plugged it up with some rubber fuel line just to get hte truck to run. when i did this i get 85-90 psi and the truck runs great. but after sitting for awhile i get a hydro lock and it wont run untill i pull the reg and reinstall it.
Anyone have any of these problems? im about to toss this truck off a cliff! is there somthing im missing?anyone have any of these reg problems? Could i have gotten a bad reg from autozone? anyone? any ideas? would be great!
please help out this new b owner!
