I.m going for it and doing the swap to a fe 3 in my 1990 b 2200. but the first thing i need to know is can i take the fe3 stock trans with it and put it into my b2200 with out having to cut drive lines. on that note how hard is it to drill the holoe for the crank position sensor. it just seems like something i would distroy.

I want a 4x4 trans from the kia as well but if i need drive lines then i will just have to wait to ad the trans later and just stick with the stock motor

the kia motor bolts right to the stock b2200 trans..so why not use a 4x4 b2200 trans and drive line?

Because he doesnt wanna have to drill the hole in the bellhousing for the crank positioning sensor.

Dude there is a b2200 THAT is a 4x4. But like I said I don't want to drill that hole. Another question. Does the ne sportage have the same engine or isit a different 16vl dohc

dude there is not a 4x4 2200. all the 4x4's are 2600's. people say there are factory 4x4 2200's but i have yet to see any actual proof.

there out there but you rea,y have to look. back to the topic. i realy want to use the kia transmission and engine just to keep it complete and all. but what are we talking here when it comes to drive lines. what other engines could i go with that can just bolt right in and give me better milage and power. i only get 20 mpg right now so any advice.. see the plan is to do the complete swap from the kia and that way i can have a 4x4 trans and then i.m going for the solid axle swap from a yota .... at which time i would use both yota front and rear ends so the gearing maches
