swapping a sbc in a dawg question.

Well i found a truck im really liking for the price. its a lwb single cab dawgg bagged and bodied for $700. the downfall is it has no motor. i speculating the idea of possibly getting the truck if i can drop my carburetor'd 350 and 3 speed straight shift in it. now i kno its possible but how easy would it be for me if i were to buy a complete mr. roadster wiring harness and gauge harness and used all the parts off the smallblock as far as ignition coil distributor starter etc. if i did so i would run an electric water pump and fan to limit belts. please help me out in any way possible because i really would like to get this truck and do that

sbc i think you have to notch the firewall for the distributor

okay its body dropped so you will have to modify the fire wall and the tunnel it would be alot easier with a 700r4 automatic tranny as for room and the rad saddle will have to be notched and so will the lower cross member under the rad so it will sit lower in the engine bay the biggest thing is lowering everything enough to still fit under the hood i am doing the same thing as well and it is not a bad swap but just takes alittle more prep and thought when the truck is body dropped.

yea i figure id have to mod the rad support somehow and trans tunnel for sure but honestly i cant really remember how big the trans i have is because its been in my c10 since i got it and havent yanked it outta it or even looked underneath it to see how big it is..if its anything the the t10 4 speeds its super tiny. oh and thanks btw nething helps im tryin to convince my uncle (whom i live with) to allow me to go thru with this build since it will be wrenched on in his garage. he is super funny about anything with aftermarket. he isnt into minis at all lol

or if there is anybody that knos where a runnin mazda motor and trans is for sale that will be a direct fit for a decent price...would be alot easier that doin the sbc. i jus want to be drvin asap if i can get this goin lol

Wish you were closer to me bro I have a complete running motor and trans still in the truck that i am selling and was just e tested back in june passed with flying colors.
