My bitch is smokin like a mother. One of my buddies told me to put about 6 tea spoons of auto tranny fluid in the carb. It should seal the rings and stop the smoking for like 200 miles. Im not quite sure if that is really a good idea. I wanted to knowif you guys have some smog fooling tricks that may hold it at bay for a little bit. Any info will help just looking for a fix for now. Hell, if all else fails can always pay off the smog guy

The at trick was for sticky lifters. Smoking all the time, or just on start up? Is it blue, black or white smoke?

i do this in my 1985 buick riviera has a 307 and cant seem to get the spark-knock to go away checked the timing and really cant afford running 93 all the time so my mechanic told me to pour in some AT tranny fluid in the carb while its running said it will smoke like hell for a min or so due to burning the carbon off the top of the pistons worked just fine for me half to do it every 6 months or so just throwing it out-there but i donno about stop making it smoke i would try seafoam thats some good stuff and also i swear by lucas stop leak and oil stabilizer

next time you change oil put a qaurt of lucas oil in with your oil , it seals and stops ticking noise not in def but makes it not so loud. It seals around the rings .. bottom line is your rings in your motor are shot you need to replace them.
