I've recently bought a older (1981) model carby for the B2000, I bought it from a trader without fully reading the advertisement and it wasn't what I really wanted, (it's the Nikki one with the big sight glass on the front).

I am thinking about fitting it to my truck, as my current carb is dying I think.
My engine displacement is the same so I was thinking that the jetting would still work, but has anyone else tried fitting one to their later model engine (1994)?

I really like the look of it as it seems really rugged and old fashioned in comparison to the current one I have fitted, and trying to find a Cortina carb for a reasonable price here is a bit of a joke really.

Any idea's if it would go on and run all good or am I going to run into issues with the mixture and stuff?

it wont work, you gotta find every single vac line and match them, and i think the later b's have more vac lines etc, but if you just get rid of all that egr it might, but there is still the fitment issue as the carbs on older b's are on the other side so the throttle cable might not work as well. and the carb might not line up to the intake manifold correctly either,

in other words, its more hassle than its worth imo
