polishing valve cover questions?

anyone here polish there valve cover out? i know how to polish aluminum just wanted to know if anyone has any tricks or tips on mazda valve cover i have a dremel and a benchtop buffer not grinder

preperation is the key. Smoother the finish is the better the shine will be. Dont rush and start trying to polish until you are happy with the prep. I spent 4 or 5 8 hour days on a crx valve cover before i was happy with it. You can feel the vibration in your sleep after the second day. You wanna use something as flat as possible because circular surface will show little lumps in the shine.

start out with some wetsand paper it will cut your prep time.
