ecu swap or repair

i need a ecu for my truck, should i get mine fixed fopr 160$ or buy used one for 50$?

how do you know your computer is bad?

what model is your truck? if its carb'd i've got the ecu i took out of my mazda that you can have for $20 shipped

well my truck runs like shot, well it barely even runs.. so im guessing the ecu.. its a common issue apparently, and mines a 92 fuel injected

pull the cover off and look at it. there are two caps that bleed into the board. If they look good its probably not the computer. I'd be checking more things than the computer. coil, relay, wires, plugs, cap and rotor. Whats it doing? Do you ride a Fit?

i changed plugs, cap and rotar, waiting for wires to come in.. basically the truck wont run.. it has problems starting (could because of cold) but usually started awesome all the time... now when i give it gas it just bogs, wont go anywhere.. i cleaned the IAC throttle body.. i will take it off today and take pictures and u guys tell me if its messed up.. and i used to ride a fit, im out of the bmx scene now

took my computer out...dont really know what im looking at.. i dont see any liquid aha

id check relay, they are cheap under 20 bucks. Mine ran like hell and would die if i didnt keep the rpms up. it was the stupid relay.

look underneath and see if any solder connections have corrosion between them. Just trying to save you money. You'd be pissed if you buy a computer and its still not it. Did you check resistance of coil?
