need b2600i help asap please

hi guys, i FINALLY got my motor back together and in and now i'm stuck on timing it. i've looked in 2 manuals (including the PDF on here) and Alldata and i can't find any info on installing the distributor. the first time i had the motor at TDC and the the rotor at #1 and that didn't do it, then i aligned the mark on the gear and housing but that didn't do it and i can't find the info anywhere. anyone know how to stab the dist? what marks to use?

when i did mine..i lined up the marks, pointed it at number one, then put it one tooth to the left and it seemed to work..i didnt have a book or anything i did all by ear
