I had the computer for my b2600i rebuilt by a local guy a couple years back...still running strong to this day, have me a year warranty on parts maybe labor too... Guy was quick and reliable, his name is alex and his email is

Hit him up if you don't want to have to go thru avm pro or if you live in washington and need to get your computer rebuilt... Last I heard he was doing the mitsubishi computers only but if you ask he can probably help you out

91extcab thanks for the wonderful words its good to here from past customers and there successes. Yes manny mazdas are mitsubishi based computers the mazda trucks have can be very tricky to repair but once fully repaired will outlast the life of the truck....if not and its still the original owner and a defect due to parts i replaced or my workmanship i warranty that for life.

I do not charge anything to look at an ecu, i have many ways to arange to look at it, i am in the greater seattle area and can meet up with people or you can ship it to me and i dont charge for shipping back. I charge a flat rate to everyone, i do not want to post up how kuch because i do work for local dealerships around my area and they upcharge and all that, so if a user came on or found via a post etc. ect. So email me for price and options.

Feel free to email me to see what we can do.

Malodin, I swapped out the bad electrolytics and touched up some bad feed through ferrules. I replaced a couple traces with jumper wires and the truck took off and ran. I went over some RR tracks & it went back to running like crap. A couple minutes later, it burped & went back to normal. It did this once on me and once for my son. The truck was running smooth when he parked it. When he got in it 2 days later, it runs rich & acts like it's on 2 cylinders. My eyesight isn't what it used to be so I don't know if I messed something up or if something else is wrong. Can you test the outputs on this ECU or do you have only static testing?

You'd probably be better off getting a hold of him thru email vs. here. I told him where I posted about him but not sure if he comes by on a regular basis. He was testing the computers in his off road vehicle cause it used and identical computer. Mine wasnt tested prior to return, because I have a different ecm for the 2.6, that wasn't the same as the b22/b20 ecms. Different plug that goes into the ecm on the 2.6fi

Thanks '91, I didn't see the imbedded e-address until after I made the above post. I have found myself taking different directions on this little truck when I'm standing in the garage staring holes in it as opposed to when I try writing down what steps I've taken. My judgement seems to make more sense on paper. I'm going to take another swing at that ECU. If it worked right after I replaced the first bad capacitor, but was intermittent, that means it was my repair that was intermittent. Now I just hope that I haven't blown one of the output amplifiers as a result. Thanks again!
