So I need some help guys, my battery seems to keep dying. Or won't hold a charge, if I charge it up it seems to work fine but the minute I go somewhere like the store or etc, when I go to start it to go home won't start. I have tried everything from a new alt. Been through 2 optima yello tops thank god for the warranty. I really need some help I'm tired of not being able to drive my truck. Starter is good, fuses good, alt good, plugs wires dizzy all good. Any help would be appreciated thank u.

sounds to me like you have a parasitic draw somehwere...actually fairly easy to track down if you got a little patience. Do you own a multimeter?

this was easier than writing the whole thing out. If you dont have a multimeter...ive seen guys use a test light too. You dont get a reading as to how much of a draw you have, but itll do the trick. kinda

Or bad ground circuit, check from motor to frame and frame to battery.

i think that will definatley cause power issues, but its not gonna ruin a battery.

No, but it will cause the battery *NOT* to receive a full charge and will cause issues with starting as well. Been down that road before.

that is true..but if the battery is getting destroyed..then that means is getting drained.
