i think my plan of attack will be wait till i get a vac gauge re-test and see what reading i get then if it's about the same ill rebuild the calipers , new pad and machine the discs , refit if it still no better new vac pump and hopeful that will fix it
got the disc's machined today , calipers are in being rebuilt and i got new pads as well when i get the calipers back tomorrow ill re-bleed the system and hopefully i get some improvement, vac gauge should show up tomorrow as well so hopefully i can test that as well , but if all that fails then what else could it be?
Got the calipers rebuilt , new pads and machined discs refitted and re bleed the system , still have the same problem , im outta ideas now other then the vac pump ?
That's great news man!! Now what the heck is a reaction disc? Got a pic or description of where it sits? Well at least you didn't replace the vacuum pump. The other parts in time were due for a change out. How did you figure out that was the problem?
i spoke to a local brake shop and he said from every thing i have done it had to be that , the reaction disc is a little rubber disc that sits in the booster behind the pedal push rod so when you press the pedal it puts resistance on the pedal then moves forward and pushes the push rod in to the master , my brakes work like new now , now i just have to figger out why i have a belt light on my dash and how to get rid of it , also do you know where the engine number would be on the diesel motor ?
As I've been searching online about these Mazda engines. The F2 engine blocks were used for gasoline and diesel engines. According for my B2200 gasoline engine the engine stamp number location is below the number one spark plug position. The engine block has a small surface area that sticks out beyond the head. You might need to wipe it down or use a detailing brush with a little diesel or engine degreaser to see the stamp marks. Mine was barely visible it was stamped F2 in the first line with large fonts. Then the second line numbers 2 14 was in smaller fonts like a little less than half the size of the first stamp line.
That belt light that's lit on your dash it actually says check belt? (I've never seen an R2 diesel dash board)
BTW you're located south of where I reside I'm from Guam...
can not find the engine number any where its meant to be under injector 3 but its not and now im a little worried cause i cant get a rwc with out it =\ the light on my dash says " belt" and has a pic of 3 pulleys ill get a pic when i get the car back
To reset the belt light you need to remove the instrument cluster . On the back is a wire and two scew holes , you need to move the wire from where it is to the other hole. Next timing belt change you move it back,,,,, Hope this helps
