Does anyone know the flow rates of B2600i injectors vs. B2200?

Not sure what you are wanting to do with this information. Personally I have not one idea what the flow rate is. But if both engines are fuel injected, it shouldn't matter, as fuel delivery is metered by the O2 sensor. In other words, if you put higher flow rate injectors in place, the ECM would limit fuel delivery by trimming injector dwell (ON) time. There is also the possibility that too much fuel (2600 to 2200) might overwhelm the O2 sensor and cause the system to default to some kind of limp mode.

What's the part number on the side of them? I'm assuming they are Denso's?

If they are Denso injectors like in most other Mazdas there should be a number on the side that reads 195500-XXXX. The last 4 digits are the ones I need.

And on the top... looks to be a Mazda number... at least the G609 is the Mazda p/n for these injectors (90-93). G60913250

I usually only deal with Bosch, Denso, Ford (Bosch) and Nikki injectors so I'm not very familiar with JECS. This is about as close as I can find on that particular injector.

And I found one page citing 275cc/min which would be in line with the above.

The injector in the first pic has a Bosch EV1 style connector and the injector in the second pic has the Denso style round connector like the JECS you posted up.


All those come in at around 25-26lb/hr and the numbers seem right for a 2.6 because a Mazda 1.8 BP engine uses a 254cc/min-24lb/hr Denso injector and a Miata 1.6 B6ZE uses a 212cc/min-20lb/hr Denso injector (although I have seen some 230cc/min-22lb/hr units floating around which is usually a Mazda 1.6 B6D injector)


Sorry Angus, I know that only answers half of your question but I would need the specific numbers from both injectors. I'd say if the 2600 uses a 26lb/hr and a 1.8 DOHC uses a 24 then the 2200 should be at least 20-24 lbs/hr.

What are you trying to do with them? Why would you want to swap them? You can't reprogram the ECU on these trucks. Are you going stand alone?

I could have swore they said denso on them, I will check and report back.

I want to compare the flow rate to the B2200 injectors and then see if I will be able to go a bit bigger and lower the FP.

The truck is turbocharged and I am considering maybe a stand alone or??

It would be nice to know the flow rates of other mazdas in the same year range:

Mx-6 turbo and not

RX-7 turbo and not

Miata ( you said was 254)

etc.

I am in the process of rebuilding my OEM EFI assembly for a EFI upgrade later this summer. I acquired the parts from a pair of 93 EFI 2.2 trucks. My injectors (all 8 ) have a different number and letter on them. I think it's the same part number but maybe a different "sub" part number? F2G813250 is the OEM part number and they cost $160 new!! So hold to OEM units if they are good ones!!! Here are a few sample shots.

I knew I'd heard the JECS name before - they are used by lots of Nissan guys, whenever I see them they are the side feed type - interesting that Mazda chose them.
