So I have a 1986 b2000. And I am looking into rebuilding the engine but I was wondering if I got a f2 motor will in fit and bolt right up to the stock tranny amd if all the connections were the same just because if the f2 is a direct fit I'm going to swap that in for the Fe. Please help!

Not only will it fit... I believe it's a drop in.

The engines are exactly the same on the outside, so you can "upgrade" with a 2.2. The water pump is different I think.

The only thing I am aware of that you need to be aware of is that if you just swap the blocks, you have to use the "correct" head gasket. If you swap in a 2.2 block only, you need to make sure to use a 2.2 head gasket. The heads are identical other than valve train, but the 2.2 uses a restrictor in the oil feed hole that the 2.0 liter has located in the head gasket which would mean you might have two which might make for a problem.

Hope this helps
