Question on lowering my truck. i have seen it done with older cars and plus i thought about it and got many people who have told me just dearch my leaf springs but here is a thought, i just move the brackets into my bed of my truck for my leaf springs and hook them up that way. i wanted to know what you people would think about that? keep it in mind i wouldnt have to pay someone to dearch em and plus it would be a could of cuts and welds thats all i would have to do.

Just get some lowering blocks man, it will save you so much trouble. You can pick them up at the local parts store pretty cheap, and they come with longer bolts.

Baha's right the a 3in block kit can cost as little as $35 if you shop around and are the safest way to lower the rear. For the front I would say to index the torsion bars and not turn them.
