seriously you just put in another motor and it's smoking like that!? damn, you got some bad luck! glad there is warranty on this one. hope things are moving forward for ya soon, literally, and smoother, with less smoke
Man that is bad, I'm not an engine guru I just know the basics but from a logic stand point could bad fuel in the existing system cause it to smoke? Or lots of moisture sitting in the existing exhaust, couldn't that cause steam/smoke?
Just trying to think since the only thing that was replaced was the engine it seems like it would have to be something that wasn't replaced causing the issue.
rebuilding the rear end in my truck.....i can say dont blow up your rear end maza is no longer producing the larger axle gears that are cheaply made nor the pinion shaft hub....does anyone have a pinion shaft hub laying around in nice shape????i will post a pic of the piece ....I have torn down three ear ends trying to find decent pieces and there all suspect...
damn new motor just sitting there waiting for this rear end project to to allow me to move it...will post pics of that too..
Gonna redo the reverse four link and fix my pinion angle since this rear end is gonna be a rare sucka.... two forward two rear facing worked intially but now i am just gonna wish bone it got a sweet plan hopefully once the motor is in start fabbing up some links...nothing show worthy just utilitarian and beefy. already powdercoated my housing and dont wanna change the four link mounts so got some custom bends ahead of me...
i dont know much about motors but i do know that they ship motors with asm. lube in them and they will smoke like a train for a little bit until the hot oil works the lube out
So yeah that was a used motor but my new brand new in a box crate motor is shipped that way and i am sure it will at first ... i have crate motored a lot of vehicles and had fairly goo luck....used motors not so much...So just about to get rearend back from rebuild and i will reittereate do not grenade a rear end mazda doesnt have alot of the parts and the axle and spiders are made from very soft material...if this happens again i am gonna get a d21 rear end..
i do have a question way back i was a fbi mini guy from way back... bought lots of stuff rrom them no issue...ordered some heims and bungs so i can build a new wish bone so i wont blow up another rearend and just have had fits getting anything from the new roll pans.com waited for two weeks and never got anything steve is now responding only after i called bank and started process to reverse charges... so has anyone else had issues with fbi or rollpans.com i found a few links of horror stories before it became roll pans and thats why i immediately called my bank since i wasnt getting any responses...so has anyone had issues..
I never had issues when I used them many years ago but seems like over the last few years they haven't been the best at completing orders. I remember when they closed their doors back in 2009 or 2010 their site was still up taking orders.
pardon my french but f!ck fbi minis and rollpans.com they got my last dollar ....tired of having to have the bank block the transaction...only ever heard back once i got my bank involved then there was no good answer other than huh wonder what happened... buying my heims elsewhere...
on a side note fresh rearend in and getting broken in and working great...up until i backed my roll pan into the sidewalk at work this morn....doah face palm...oh well have two other beds i am gonna switch too anyway...time to start work on the wish bone... once i get heims and bungs..
