lol, i knew the tool truck would catch attention. Its an old shop project that went south, we ended up scrapping it (NOT MY IDEA). It was a 1950 chev stepvan, it was an old MAC Tools tool truck, still had the old school paint and everything. Thanks for the props on the Fasty!

Looking forward to watching this build! Looks like you have a good head start already.

Very cool project! Did one of those for a friend of mine - will try to post a pic later if I can find one. I like the caddy signals, very creative. Definitely keep us posted on this build.

The first car I paid money for was a 70 Squareback with a sunroof, red and full o rust. I drove it for a few years and found a Notchback with a blown motor. I ended up selling it stoopid mistake but hey I was young, dumb and well you know the rest. Good work on the Type III keep up with the pics.

thanks guys! I am about to do a bunch of work to get it ready for a show on April 3rd.. I have a few more cool "old school" concepts I am going to do with it.. its a fun build!

Ah hell, you make me want to ditch the b. Type 3's are my dream vw's. I hounded a guy with a fasty locally for months (had a for sale sign in the car) but he never would answer the door (could hear a tv on inside) our return my calls. You can convert a beetle 1600 to fit in a type 3 with different tins, right?

VW's are in my blood. Had many bugs and a ghia. Have always loved Type III's mostly the notchback and the squareback though. There was a fasty on Craigslist just this week for $450, and after seeing yours I'm wishing I'd had jumped on it. Oh well. Good job on yours bro, really liking it.
