More progress - 6 and 7 are done, 1 is half done - the fuel pump is now wired and the relay on the rover ECU fires it up upon ignition - just have to mount the ECU somewhere.

What remains:
1. Electrical wiring in engine compartment (Alternator conversion + Ignition Coil + Dizzy)
2. prime the oil in the rover
3. bolt-up starter (need electrical diagrams etc first)
4. Power steering? Maybe an electric unit from a Cobalt or some other? suggestions?
5. Exhaust - Need to buy some sticks of steel/stainless and have them bent + mufflers
8. Break-in

* Starter wired and works
* Oil is now primed
* Exhaust is done (out the sides before the rear wheels)
* Alternator wiring is done

What remains:
1. Ignition Coil wiring
2(new). I had to buy a relay for the electric fan, have to wire that into the EWP control system
4. Power steering (maybe later)

Any one have diagrams on how the ignition coil was wired? I just need the color codes and the (what wire is what) to the dizzy and the coil.

Try that link for wiring.

Thanks! I looked there and I did not see a wiring diagram - mine is also carbureted (a Mitsu G54B engine) so its likely different than the b2600i which is fuel injected - but I dont know for sure.

so why do you need an electrical diagram before bolting in the starter? its should be pretty simple the 1 wire to fire it from the ignition and the big wire to the battery... and so you just ditched your front end drive components for now? toyota or jeep axles down the road instead?

This starter was a 3-wire - I figured it out eventually, just looked for the trigger vs the ignition bypass wire is all.

Truck is WORKING and tabs are renewed + insured. I took it out for a spin a few times now and its a very peppy and fun truck to drive now!

I will post some pics and a vid hopefully

Just a couple of things remain:
* my O2 sensors are bad, its running a bit rich - ordered new ones
* Need some hood-pins - Suggestions?
- I was thinking of these:
" target="_blank - Expensive
or these: " target="_blank

* Fix oil leak around the oil filter relocation kit - should be easy
* Tach module from a firebird is on its way
* Going to try the $100 Electric power steering option here:
" target="_blank

* Speedometer cable conversion? the mazda's cable is a bit too large for the T-5's cuff

* Idle is an issue - cam is bigger than I thought

* Lift kit? anyone have some suggestions? I can fab my own, but would like some info on where people commonly lift these B's

* some 31's?

* Eventually I'd like to run a divorces transercase and some toyota solid axles - again, suggestions? Dana 300?

Thanks to everyone for being supportive, especially Cusser - who was able to find the diagrams for the carbed B I had!! awesome!

Just reminded myself today to give another update on progress. A couple of weekends ago a friend and I went to a local junkyard and obtained a Ford 8.8 rear diff (4.10:1) with Disc brakes and LSD from a 2000 Ford explorer - which is now underneath the truck.

I have also been given a set of 33's that will work nicely, provided 4x4 is restored and a lift is accomplished. Suggestions?

From that same yard we pulled a Dana 30 for the front (same 5x4.5 bolt pattern as the ford) that will be swapped in either this year or next. now im reading up on 4-link vs leaf spring etc. for the front and what springs I should use for the rear to get the 3" of lift I will need for the tires.

any suggestions on 4-link/3-link/leaf springs front/rear are welcomed - ive been looking at various posts here on 4-link, but most people are lowering their B's and im trying to do the opposite.
