No actually I'm jus using spray bomb....jus grey primer and wrought iron flat black! I really don't plan on leavin it this way...just wanted to change it from the spray bomb gloss blue also having to retouch a few spots so figured why not do the whole truck...I plan on painting it this summer sometime but getting a few more things shaved n taken care of before I do that...Thanks for the input!!!

Yeah I'd actually thought of doing it blue and black with charcoal pin stripes but i do keep comin back to jus doin a dark charcoal grey and black w blue pin too...The hood has been an idea for a couple years that I wanted to try on my 2nd truck but didn't so here goes for the 3rd!!! It really wasn't too bad at all to make...I will be the first to admit that we rushed and should have taken our time as it will show its flaws to a trained eye...but it was really a lot easier than I expected...I work around a muffler shop so I have access to lots of necessary tools to fab stuff with...For others who wanna attempt it: I measured approx 3.5 inches from the edge of the hood at the cowl lines and followed them all the way up the cowl with a plasma cutter. Also have to cut out the center section between cowl lines before it will raise freely. I took 2 pieces of scrap hanger and make them 3 inches each...Raised the cowl and tacked the pieces in place on each side. Took a piece of cardboard and laid it up to mark for side pieces. Went to local metal shop and had him chop 2 galvanized templates...One side fit perfectly! The other needed a lil coercion but made it work!!! Used a pieces of muffler pipe to support the the outer skin from flapping...Just remember while welding to keep your lines straight and don't push on ANYTHING because it started warping very easily...Also don't get too happy with the grinder because I'm guilty of knocking a few welds loose...Ran outta sand paper today so I'm gonna try to find a planer tomorrow when I go out to get some...Also gotta pick up some bondoglass and reg bondo...keep ya posted on how it goes!

I kinda thought it beat paying $400+ for a fiberglass hood =)
