NO SLAMFEST FOR ME. MY TRUCK COUGHT FIRE

Almost lost the whole truck. Put the head and motor all back together tonight for slamfest tomorrow, overtightened one of the bolts that holds the fuel rail on and it cracked. I left it like that and just made sure the other was tight, it happened as I was pulling in my driveway thank god, was with my buddy. I saw some smoke, than POOF !! Orange flames coming out the wheel wells. The fuel rail bolt came loose and it popped the injector off and sprayed fuel ALL OVER.... Cought EVERYTHING on fire, all teh wiring is charred, the manifolds, hoses, couplers etc.

A small amount of negligance on my part and I almost lost the whole truck. GOD FORBID I was driving down the road when that happened.

holy shit thats crazy....luckily the whole damn truck didn't go up, you got lucky there. Any idea how long it'll take to rebuild? Sucks to major cockage either way.

it's not HORRIBLE, but it melted the paint off the manifolds, charred alot of wiring, and almost all of the hood liner is gone, it's all charred and hanging down. The fuel injector plugs are all melted, among other things.

i jacked my shit up yesterday to though. we were movin it to put it on the lift. none of my air works so the front was on wheel dollies and the rear and drop blocks in the notch so we could roll it. when we were pushin it the wheel dolly on the right side got cought in a crack and roller out from under the wheel and strait up into the fender. so now theres a big ass crease in my right fender and my bumper is bent all to hell.

glad to hear everyone wlaked away and thank god for real it was in the driveway. that coulda been real bad just rollin down yamatto. hope its easily fixed good luck bro.

by the way i like ypur little fire demonstration picture. at least you have a a good sence of humor about the situation or at least it looks it. when my fender got crunched i blew a gasket for about 2 minutes but i was ok after words
