Heres my truck after my first attempt at a static drop this weekend. I've had the truck for two weeks, so I'm just getting started. I did 3 turns on the torsion bars and 3" blocks in the back - all leafs springs are in tact. When I had it apart, I painted the stock white rims black and polished the chrome center caps, I also painted the grille black. I'm ordering a chrome front bumper soon. It's a good start. I had a lowered S-10 a few years back and I'm just getting back into the scene...I've REALLY missed how a lowered truck rides!! Let me know what you guys think!

Nice lookig truck! I like the regular cabs, wish I could find me one.

Thanks! Normally I would prefer extended cabs, but if your customizing a truck, regular cab short beds look the best in my opinion.

Plan on doing anything else to the suspension? Or just leaving it like it is?

Ya, I'm getting 4x4 toyota bumper and chrome mazda grille soon....then some gm wheels. Then tricking out the interior. I would like to go an inch lower but can I run 4" blocks without notching the frame?

Good looking truck and great start. I like the dark look with the se5 stripe. If you want to go lower in the rear you can remove a few middle leafs.

thanks!! I kinda like the se5 stripe myself! I plan on ditching the stripe but not til a looong ways down the road when it's time for paint. What does it do to the ride taking a couple leaf springs out? I race motocross so I hafta be able to haul a 250 KTM dirt bike and my son's 50. I'm still quite a ways away from the bump stops tho. Maybe take out 2 leafs and one or two more turns on the torsions? Any other suggestions/comments?

Well I have decided to remove the two middle leaf springs...by the looks of my truck, should I leave the front alone or take the torsion bars another notch while I'm under there?

Finally....some updates. Got the Tacoma wheels on, brand new bumper/bumper caps/lower valance and chrome grille. Also took one leaf spring out of each side, removed rear bumper and got black euro tails. I'll get better pics up soon, but here goes:
