This is a build for my wife. Without her our shop would not survive, lol! (I'd spend all the money) But like the title says, It's a 99 B2200, single cab short bed. The day we rolled it off the trailer...

As of tonight I've started the new front suspension. (You can kinda see the Z that we finished sometime between beginning and now)

Obviously you can tell the front needs a pocket, but yes, we are running RE7s up front, and RE8s in the rear. Between customer projects, the little B doesnt get worked on much, but hopefully she'll be driveable by the 1st of Dec.

I guess a plan would be helpful, lol... I Z'd it 3'', lowering the motor 1&1/4. Im cutting the bottom of the chassis off and plating it up in order to achieve the body drop. Since I dropped the motor and trans, no sheetmetal has to be modified in the cab. It'll get all new crossmembers underneath, with a two link the rear to set the back down. Obviously a new (unfinished) lower is getting built, the frame is getting pocketed, and a new upper as well as mount will be fabbed. Bilstein shocks will dampen the ride at all corners. A dual pack of 480s on a 5 gallon tank plumbed to 6 gc valves. We are up in the air on fuel delivery as of now. Only motor mods were doing are cleaning things up, header, 2.0 rockers, and lower air filter for the weber. And as of 5 minutes ago i bought a set of 18'' boyds. I think i got it all, lol. The truck ran like crap when we first got it. I thought we got burned. Two plug wires were swapped, she gets a third gear scratch, lol. Ill keep this thread updated as much as i can, when i can.

awesome start man. i cant wait to see how your lcas turn out. and you going to pocket the frame to fit those big ol bags in the uca? and you gonna have any clearance on the tranny? with the sfbd? cant wait to see it man!. i love sfbd. they are pretty involved lol

Well what happen was... Lol! I dropped the motor mounts down ALMOST and inch and a quarter. The oil pan is 3/16 from the crossmember. SO, when i z'd it, the trans never got close to the tunnel, and since its z'd, the new 2x2 trans x member will lay with the chassis. The trans mount will be recessed into the x member. I hope that answers your question. It seems like all we do around here is SFBD. We had a 69 Suburban run in truck a few months back that was a bumper to bumper build. We recently SFBD'd a 2005 reg cab chevy. The ford you see in the back ground in SFDB. Ill post up some truck porn for you guys.
