Thought I would start a little Project Thread, I've had this little truck for a couple weeks now and it's begun to take more and more of my attention for some crazy reason... not really the type of projects I build, but It has me hooked.

This is how I got it a couple weeks ago....

Needed the valve seals replaced, along with the cam seal and the vacuum modulator that had failed and was emptying my transmission into my intake....

Decided to lower it over the weekend, hit the wheels with some hi-temp black paint, and started removing the moldings to clean it up a little bit.

Added 3" Lowering blocks to the rear and indexed the torsion bars 2 splines and 3 turns on the bolt. While under the truck I noticed it has some fairly new bilstien shocks, so once I replace the ball joints it's off the the alignment shop.

Not sure what direction I'm taking the truck yet, but I really dig the the project truck on here that's identical to mine with the ski/bike Rack up top.... So I hope the owner doesn't mind but I picked up a rack on CList and I'll be throwing it up top once I'm finished buffing and waxing the paint back to a shine.

Future Plans include Window tint, a little system, the rear bumper removed, and the roof rack so far but you never know...

Here are a couple of my other projects that are either finished or in the process:

Thanks! Filled it up for the first time since I've owned it.... Little thing gets better gas mileage than my riding mower I think

Yes, I'm the same as you. I don't usually do to much to things like this little truck, but it gets under your skin........here is my little mistake.

Also, I think the MkIII Lincolns are the best looking ever made.

Got any plans to supercharge any of those?

Thanks Guys! Really digging the Red/Black Theme as well... Just need to finish getting the double sided tape off so I can polish and buff it out.

I've been following the stranger build, amazing! Can't wait to see some video of you taking it out.

The White Mark has a Kenne Bell 2.2 on it, pretty fun little sleeper. Took 2nd at the Ford & Shelby Nationals Car show this last June.

Looks great! I have almost the same truck, only mine has the factory SE-5 stripes on the sides (which I want to remove). Once I paint my grille and bumper black, it should look like yours! I could kind of picture it, but nice to see an actual photo.

Mine has a white cap/canopy that I want to paint red to match and then tint the windows dark black. For wheels, I'm not sure. Might go for black, or graphite, or chrome or aluminum. The black wheels make the truck look bad a$$, I like it.

Nice height too. I'm thinking of that, or going for a few inches of lift with some meaty all terrain tires. Depending which route I go, our trucks might look like nearly identical twins!
