Hello fellow mazdanauts - here is my thread about the stuff I fix on my little red truck.

My car: '86 B2000 lx excab

My goals for the truck:
- play with tools/get grease under fingernails
- marvel at the simplicity and efficiency of late eighties japanese auto design
- maybe even get her out of the driveway a few times this year!

No lowrider or customizations - I am way too newb/broke for that. I'm shooting more for routine maintenance and restoration. My mechanical experience is limited to my little honda (seen in avitar) and a couple fixes to my old behemoth dodge tradesman. I'm basically an idiot when it comes to cars (among other things) - please adjust your expectations accordingly.

In general, this truck is in good shape but of course there are a few issues:
- something's wrong with the clutch (that's what I'm workin on right now)
- the cold idle is too low
- gas gauge works on and off
- once warmed up, she runs a little on the hot side
- couple cosmetic issues... the wheels have some crud on em (it's not quite rust, some kind of corrosion though), the black part on the grill ain't too black no mo, the paint is in good shape but the white stripe is pretty faded.
- some broken bits here and there - a cracked tail light, broken back slider window clippy thing.
- get the damn sticker junk off the window from the dmv trip permit!!! (srsly that wtf is up with that stuff)

looks good, and a good easy vehicle to learn basic maintenance and small mods on!

something odd with the photos, or i just haven't really 'looked' at my trucks for too long... your box looks longer! think it's just my eyes.

Hello Lydia!
Good looking Cab Plus you have there.......you must be missing MazdaTruckin too!

Your truck looks like the B2600i that I'm building a motor for right now.

One of the many things that drew me towards the little b, my friend.

Here's another thing to add to my to-do list: the lock on the driver's side door is missing the little rubber thing and in general the action on it seems... like it's on the verge of breaking.

I used some graphite lock stuff when I first got the truck because both of the locks seemed a little stiff. It helped a bit.
