No one is at all interested in my build? You guys r almost as bad as the ranger station.

Easy, man. 12 hours isn't much time for people to respond.

Can't give you any advice on the carb because I don't know much about the 2600 engines. Looks like it'll be a good project, though.

swap that stock carb out for a weber. best investment you could get. just tune it right lol. and you will be able to get rid of most of that california emision controll board sh$t lol. but how did you get your truck so high? want to do that with my 2600.

id like to get a weber but the emmissions thing is such a hassle. i fount a site i can get a rebuilt solex for 200-300 but ive heard nothing but bad things about that carb.

theres a few other things i need to get for the truck before i start thinking about the carb. i wanna get her running smooth and get her all complete under the hood. then ill start thinking about upgrades.......


about the lift......i havnt a clue how it got that high. thats how i bought it. i havnt paid much attention to the brand but ill take a few detailed pics of the front and rear so you can see how its set up.

i know lift kits for these trucks are hard to come by so the previous owner b4 the guy i bought it from must have been fairly interested in the truck to put out the cash for a lift. the guy i bought it from just used it to move things every now and again. twas a extra extra car.

i cant wait for my tax return. new battery, new alignment, egr, fluids, plugs, sensors, jy treasures, and who knows maybe a new stereo


ive never been a mazda guy or ever thought about owning a mazda truck but i cant wait to fix this truck up. me and my lady make payments on a mazda 6 but thats all the lady(she purchased b4 she found me) i hate her car and its just by coincedence that we are now a mazda family. ive ALWAYS wanted a truck.....thought i would end up getting a ranger or jeep comanche(still plan on a comanche one day) but somehow i ended up with this mazda and i really hope it lasts cuz i love driving it.

So after waiting what seems like forever i have recieved most of my parts. Just waiting on the temp switch. Should be here sometime next week.

My super said we cant work on our vehicles due.to property rules so ill have to drive it over to my mechanics to do the water pump and coolant flush. Hopefully once i get the temp sensor i can find out how hot she.runs cuz i have no idea.

Also there seems to be a slight tapping that has developed. It sounds like a cyl head but im not sure yet.. It started stumbling on acceleration and i had assumed a faulty egr but i think it may be worse. Ii dont recall the tapping noise before the problem but now its there. And the egr seems to be working as i did a test on it.

Once i can check the temp ill know alot more but i hope its nothing too bad.

Ill have a better update with pics in a few days
