4.3 v6 swap

hey guys im starting a new project on 1990 b2600i im building a 4.3 v6 chevy engine does anyone have any idea where to put the motor mounts and should i run electric fans or factory fan on motor i wanna keep it a standard but what tranna should i use im converting the engine to a carb so i dont have to havr a computer but any tips or suggestions will be great thanks guys

I did this swap, we notched the cross member, set the engine back and down.. used an auto trans.. your best bet is set it and trans in take measurements then fab and tack mounts in.. I ran a standard fan but electric is better, no engine drag and more clearance. Keep us posted.

thanks bro that was very helpful and one other question what year auto trans would i need i like the standard but id like to have a automatic now whats the best year to use so i dont have to have a computer like i said im going with a carb on the motor

700R4 trans will be your best bet.
It has overdrive and a locking torque convertor that can be wired up without a computer.

thanks for the help im looking for a tranny now iv got the motor built and ready to be put in just need a tranny to complete then i can see what i have to do with the driveshaft
