87 B2000 ext cab b13 project

i figured i needed a place to track my build thread. so here it is.

truck: 1987 mazda b2000 ext cab.

motor: 1987 mazda b13 n/a fi

suspension: lowered static (currently). planned z notch in the rear, bags up front.

body plans: mostly stock. shaved emblems, rool pan, stamped gate. i am going to do a custom tonneau to keep everything covered.

wheels: redrilled axles and hubs to a 4x114.3 bolt pattern.

interior: mostly stock. i have plans to pull and paint the dash the same color as the final color on the truck, 94 porsche guards red. re-upholstered honda accord bucket seats.

i am going to try to do my best to update this as i progress.
but as of now... this is how it sits.

Hows the power of the N/A rotary? I've always wondered. Did you make motor mounts?

well i think that mazda specs the 2.0 at 85 hp. and the 13b is rated at 146hp. its has a custom intake and no cat on the exhaust so its definitely more 'spirited'. and its always cool to see the tach in the 12k range. there is plenty of power for my liking. and yes, i built the motor mounts. they are a combination of the rx mounts and the b mounts with some 1x3 square tubing.

Cool deal. You using the stock efi set up?

yep. it seemed to be the easiest route. i did the swap almost 10 years ago. and then life started getting busy. but now that i actually have some hobby money and some free time, its time to get back on it.
