I think when my bro picked it up he asked for 1/8" wall and im thinking we used 10 - 10' sticks... 100 the feet and we still need to build a frame in the rear to do a cali combo.
For what it's worth, we used a sheet and a half 4x8' of 16ga sheetmetal to skin it as well.

I used 1x1" with 1/8" wall as well for my bed floor. I was able to get away with four 6' pieces, so 24' total. And I used a piece of 5x10' 16 gauge sheet with enough left to do the tailgate.

There arent any updates on this project, its been taking a break in the garage while we work on the interior of my Tbird project. Though, within a couple of months we plan to start the body work and get the whole truck in atleast primer then start on it's interior next so we will get the ball rolling in due time.

Bed looks nice and clean!! And yes I can vouch to the amount of hours that goes into sheeting a bed!! I laugh when someone says they are doing their bed in a weekend... Ya tacked together but that's it!!
Looks good bro!!

Finally get to post an update. The body work has begun and were ballz deep into it, we have ALOT of work to do to get it straight but it will finally be a solid color for the first time in 10 years since we took ownership of the truck.

So far we pulled the dash to smooth it out and paint it, straightened the top rail of the tailgate, added a license plate box to the tailgate, shaved tailgate handle, shaved the gas door and ground out all the old body filler to get the metal straight.

Looks killer bro! Something about "under construction" trucks that looks so sexy, almost better than when they are complete haha.
