So, with this information at hand....I am about to go pick up an '88 b2200. It looks like it has no AC system at all. I see a bracket, with no compressor. Now...is it best that I just get all new shit done by an AC shop, or buy all the stuff I need used and then get it redone? Just wondering because I will make it a driver, just need some AC or the passenger seat will be empty...

Well I guess my sister was right then when she gave me the truck...it didn't work. Replacing the resistor fixed it then. Thanks, Cusser!

Great !!! PM me with your E-mail address and I'll send you a copy of the AC Wiring diagram. I looked this over about two months ago for someone on Mazda Trucking, so I finally understand 99% of it.

my resistor has a BLUE wire coming out of it with a plug.... i went to the Auto Parts Store and they gave me a resitstor that did not have this BLUE wire i tried and it did not work with out this BLUE wire plugged in. All the other resitors they can get do not have this BLUE wire .. with out this BLUE wire plugged in the system does not work and i have no idea were to find this resistor. Has any one had this issue and if so where did you get yours at part #?
sorry for the last post hope this helps..
Thanks,
Jay

I had that issue...drilled a hole in the new resistor and soldered the wire on the same spot it was on the OLD resistor. I dont remember where i soldered it but it DID fix it. I now have all 4 speeds on the fan and the A/C works.

Jay, I don't want to give you bad info on where to solder it so I'll just say solder it in the same place the old one is. If the other place you can solder it is attached to the other post I'm sure you can solder it there too but I really don't remember what post I put mine on and it's a son of a gun to get those screws in or I'd yank it and take a pic. Good luck and post back what happens after you replace it.
