can anyone give me advice on the best length to run run on my 4 link. I ordered some that are 27 and 3/4 and to me they just seem short because everything i have read says that short bars dont give u enuff travel so if anybody could give me a little advice I'd appreciate it alot. also instead of triangulated would it be okay to run a parallel on my truck?

Not sure on the bar lengths but that seems about right. No you can't run them parallel, the triangulation is there to keep the axle from moving to either side. I guess you could run them paralleled but then you'd need a panhard bar and that's all in all just more work. Are you trying to keep the stock tank location or something? If so then you can do a 3 link wishbone setup and run the lower links going under the frame, but then you'd need to raise the tank to keep it from scrapin.

No i took the tank out gunna get a fuel cell im backhalfing it yea i knew id have to run a panhard bar with the parallel i'm gunna do a triangulated just kinda thought about a parallel bc i found a few good deals on kits on ebay the bars i got for my upper are 27 3/4 and i'm doing 1x3 1/8 lowers with bag over bar was thinkin i need to go to 1/4" on the lowers i was thinkin the ones i got will be to flimsey i appreciate ur help and advice bro i love this forum

Don't run 1x3 1/8 wall... That's no bueno... If u want to run square tubing with bag on bar use 2x2 1/4 wall.. u could prolly get away with 3/16th on a mini but def not 1/8...

Thanks man 2x2 it is i thought those would be way to thin and would bow. Whats the best ride bag over bar or bag on the axle? I want to run shocks as well but not sure yet how to set them up bc when the bags are decompressed i would think i would have to have the shock set just right so that they would stop any amount of drop if that makes sense lol any pointers on that? This is my first mazda i love it wouldnt take nothing for it in the world and since i learned about bscene im hooked thanks guys!

you can invest in some 4-link bar under gussets as ell. they make it so the bars dont bend when doing a bag on bar setup. they run about $35 and vary in size from 16"-34" long.

On 2x2 1/4 wall u don't need gussets... It won't bow... Bag placement is dependant on a number of factors... What u are trying to accomplish, what u have to work with as far as packaging ect... There are almost always some kind of tradeoff... I'll give u what I think about..
1. Sleeve bag on axle.. rides a lil stiffer but also yields the best handling... Not as much lift but very solid setup..
2. Don't waste ur time with a convulted bag on axle... Rides sloppy and really no need cuz there are better options..
3. Bag on bar.. most folks like to run the bag in the middle of the bar for most lift and ride quality.. it'll take less air to get lift therefore softer ride...
Both 1 and 3 are great avenues... I will say this... It sounds like u are very new to this... My advice would do countless hours of research and figure out ur goals... And there is zero shame in paying a professional to do the job for, and notice I said professional and not the kid with the haggard s10 on air... U get what u pay for.. so if u can't weld find someone who can..

Yeah this is my first bagged and bodied truck build i appreciate all the advice just tryin to get some different opinions on setup from people who already have bagged trucks and i will post pics up soon of what i've done and as far as welding i can weld a brick to a stump lol i'm an industrial mechanic i'll take a pic of the old lincoln welder and post her on here. I appreciate all the advice but like u said im taking some time figuring out what i wanna do and sticking to it i'll post pics of my backhalf tomorrow thatnks guys Bscene is awesome very motivating for sure.
