So I've had this b2200 for about 6 months now. Its going to be my reliable work truck, with a bit of beef to go camping, tow a trailer etc.

Heres the pic from the ad when I bought it.

First priority is to get the truck back into reliable condition.

The engine is running fine but it had fuel delivery issues about a week after I got it. I swapped the fuel pump and gas tank from the one in my parts truck (without testing it of course...) and it fixed the problem for a bit but its back now. From time to time it decides to start and then die down, I've been getting by just starting it 10 or more times and then it works. I'm thinking fuel pump again or dirty injectors or I've heard even the computer will cause issues like this.

Boarded up my canopy windows the other day...still gotta do the back one though...

I'm currently working on the front suspension and brakes.

I got new rotors, calipers, ball joints, shocks, bushings, and regreased the wheel bearings. What I'm doing is putting all the new parts on the wheels from my parts truck so I can just bolt everything in quickly when I get a break from work. I borrowed some 235 75 r15s from my buddies 4runner and I'm liking the size so far but they still rub in the front when I crank hard right. I already cranked the torsions as far as they would go so a reindex will be happening soon.

Once the front is done, the back suspension is next. Its sagging like hell right now with all my tools in there so I'm thinking add-a leaf, these overload springs, or a whole new leaf pack. Depending how it sits once those are in, I may throw in some blocks to level it out. A spring over axle conversion was floating around in my head but I'm not a welder...yet...and I heard that gets you 4- 5 inches of lift which would probably be too much in this case.

Here's the parts truck

Its a few bolts away from being ready to pull the engine out. I may rebuilt it once I get my main truck running well then I have something to pop in when it dies.

Once all that is done I have dreams of adding an auxiliary fuel tank for long trips and maybe redo the entire suspension and throw a highly modified cummins in the box so I can tow a 30' trailer with an f350 behind that, faster than a full size pickup. Basically the power and towing capacity of a 1 ton pickup in a mini ....we all have dreams...

Wow, we can all dream! Mine apparently close to you, I want a ford 4.0l for towing with auxiliary tank!

This is my ride

My heavy axles and suspension (over 3/4 ton)

and you wouldn't make it far without losing control of the load and crashing

Lol ya, get into a mean death wobble, but as it says, we all can dream!

So it's been a while, since my last post i've started cleaning up the sides

Working hard
thread post photo

Started rebuilding the engine from my parts truck
thread post photo

Then my clutch was making bad noises. Turned out to be a grenaded pilot bearing. The outer race was stuck inside and was a mother to get out...
thread post photo

Managed to use a dremel with a diamond bit and slowly grind it away
Success!
thread post photo

I threw my parts truck clutch in and then it wouldn't shift into reverse. Then my diff grenaded...
thread post photo

So took it to a shop to swap in the other diff and put in a brand new clutch.
Still is stiff to shift into reverse.

All these troubles and a good deal led to me getting this guy. 2003 silverado 2500hd diesel with only 96000kms.

Couldn't focus on the engine rebuild so I boxed everything and decided to gut the parts truck.

The frame sits in my garage now.

I'm now looking into making this a full fletched bush truck and doing a 4x4 conversion with a solid front axle something along the lines of what this guy did. " target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
