B2000 Tranny Replacement

I know it has been asked on here before but I can't find it...
I have an '86 B2000 and I'm needing to replace the transmission. Which years and makes of the B-series will bolt up to the '86?

One with taller gears would be ideal if it exists.

This is a 2WD, 5-speed.

Yes, 5-speed. Sorry abt that. Is it possible that one from a B2200 or even a B2600 could match up?

And possibly! I found a tranny on craigslist in greeneville..it'd make a good trip, though I'd be without my mazda.

2200 will fit! 2600 will not! If I didn't have someone riding with me I would pick you up on way threw # but I do n I may not be home till Sunday:)

Pretty sure the 2600i transmission will.

I think the 2600 and the 2600i are different transmissions... I am not 100%.

For what it is worth, a man at a local junkyard claims that only 86-87 have similar transmissions. He said it has to do with a change away from toyota in the '88, as they were identical to the mazdas until then. Can anybody else back this up?

It seems I may have to do some more research.

Mazda n toy the same dang never heard that one! New one to me anyone?
