Hey, So i am the FNG here. I am 31 years old, My 1st car was a Mazda B2200 needless to say.. i totaled that truck 3 times learning to Drive and i have missed it ever since i lost it. After that i got heavy into hondas have owned 5 accords. all 90-93 coupe 5speeds. the last one i still have and is pretty modded if you want you can see that whole storie here
This will give you kind of an idea of what type of work i do, even though i love my accord and wont let go of it, I am always drawn toward the trucking magzines when ever i am at a store, always staring at the minitruck crusin down the interstate. so i decided to buy me another Mazda... one of my favorite trucks of all times. Now honestly.. i feel i paid to much. but i did what i did and now i have to go from here. what i bought...
87 b2200
has a 95s10 half ass 4.3 chevy vortec swap in it with a turbo 350 trans on a stock rearend.
when i say half assed. i mean none of the gauges work. the throttle cable is tied to the gas pedal and throttle on the carb with speakerwire. it might be awesome for burnouts. but i do alot of interstate driving. so 7-8000rpm doing 65mph down i-85 is not fessiable. i bought a chevy trans 4 speed with overdrive to try and fix this a little. but think i will have to swap the rearend to something else. i am here for advise and to search the forms depending on the swaps that are out there i might go with a completely different setup. i know some of my goals are to bag the truck i want my truck slammed layin frame. but ride quality is very important to me. right now its is NO torsion bars and 3 inch drop blocks under the rearaxle. next post will be all pictures. please give me some feedback. let me know some options for what i got. i am getting the holes in the door shaved and shaving the gas door and putting it in a flatblack prime over the weekend. i will take some more pictures once i have atleast the outside of this little B primed out.
here are the pictures
As of right now... i have 2300 tied up in buying the truck, buying a diff transmission, and paying for the primer.
