I recently painted my wheels too. I flipped out on the guy at the tire shop because I had them put a note in all caps !!!NO OUTSIDE HAMMER ON WEIGHTS!!! and he still was about to hammer on the out side. Luckily my paranoid ass was watching him like a hawk and I stopped him before he chipped up my fresh paint! Your build is coming along nicely, keep it up. I just rattle canned my entire truck after I fixed a major front end accident (Got a 2600i bubble hood from a wrecking yard for a replacement hood though). Good Luck!

A few suggestions for paint. Make sure you use a rubber wheel on the factory decals. You will have some major high and low spots if you try to buzz them off with a DA. Also I would go another route than rattle can. It just doesn't last long at all. You should look into plasti-dip paint and shoot it with an airless. All you need to do is make sure your truck is super clean and shoot it over your factory paint, no sanding! There are tons of videos on you tube for it. Don't use the can though if you shoot the whole truck use an airless or an actual paint gun and compressor. Plus it's reversible! I haven't done it but I wish I looked into it before I rattled it for the 4th time. Next time I'm gonna plasti-dip.

I have a friend with a garage and he has already done a car with plasti-dip. Yea my body man told me better to use the rubber wheel on the decal since they are caked in there. I am going to treat the litte bit of surface rust with OSPHO...I have some and its good stuff lol can't got o any home depot and get that. After when I do get the time to DA and run the rubber wheel I am going to rattle can it with prime then most likely go with plasti-dipping the truck. Just got to get the materials which should be $250-$300. My friend has his Audi S4 sedan he wants to plasti-dip.
Stay tuned!!!
