1990 NZ Daily Static B2000/Courier

Hey All,

Heres my first project, I have the build over on MTNZ but I'm always turning to the B Scene for inspiration.

Decided to do a build thread here cause I know how you guys love your photos.

This was the day I brought it






Put her on some blocks, tidied up the stock and found some 18" Pajeros







So gave window tinting a go, threw in a headunit and some 6x9's.





Then found a nice Hilux bumper and some clear tail lights







Along came a bench seat..



Finally did the facelift. Proceed bonnet, honeycombe grill, clear indicators, chrome door handles, chrome mirrors, etc, etc.. Looked at the Ranger headlight upgrade, decided to stick to the original Courier ones.





Old indicators set up as fog lights



Made up some door cards







Shaved tailgate





Paint stripped the rims







Found a badge finally









So other stuff I've done includes, new cambelt and water pump. Keyless central locking kit. Killswitch, Nardi steering wheel, Air horns, New - battery, leads, plugs, points, dizzy cap and rotor, brake pads, nolathane bushes.

Rebuilding power steering pump this weekend, will up some pics..

Love to get some feedback, positive or negative.

Nice Truck! I do like the Courier head lights better than the ranger conversion... looks like they fit a lot better I think the ranger lights look too bug eyed IMO.

NICE JOB THERE y72vrc!! So what did you do to the rear seats?

I like the wheels! What did they come off of?

I wish I could get a rear window with a factory defroster in it!

I'd love to get a Courier grill...are you selling?

-Thanks SpaceMonkee, they have definitely grown on me..

-The rear seat is sitting in the shed right now, I got an amp and 8" boxed sub there, toolbox, socket set, fire extingysher, tow rope, jumper leads, etc..etc..

-The Rims are of a Pajero J top



I was thinking of scrapping it off when the tints fade..

Although it might be offensive to you, but not intended that way, most of us don't see much of a difference between Aussies and Kiwis. We also have a hard time distinguishing between Mexicans and other Latino nationalities.

No, I'm talking about your original one, the Courier grill. Sadly we dont have those over here!
