i'm new to the site... i've had my mazda for about 1 or 2 months now, this truck was bought by my father-in-law about 4 years ago with a blown headgasket and he bought it for dirt cheap and completely rebuilt the top and bottom of the motor then sold it to his brother who has put about 36k miles on it since the rebuild and now it has fallen into my ownership. but anyways here is my progress so far

here is the day i got her

After i got it i filled the gas tank up and noticed i had a huge horrible gas leak.... so we dropped the gas tank to notice the front of the tank right around mid ways high there was a spot rusting away and some holes have appeared in it..
here it is after cleaning up the rust a little...... was just going to put in a new tank buuuut my father-in-law the "airplane" mechanic had a little trick up his sleeve that the airlines use, HE WELDED A PEICE OF ANGLE IRON TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE TANK THEN FIBERGLASSED THE INSIDE OF IT.... he says this is how the airlines do it.... it has held up great so far!

Welcome. What are your plans?

I dont really have any EXTREME plans for it.... i bought some 3" lowering blocks for the rear before i put the wheels on but now im thinking 3" may be a little too much. But i hav'nt measured yet. This is really just a work truck for me i'm not a big show guy or anything i dont really have many plans for it. I may have the interior seats recovered one day probably replace the bumpers and lights and all just to make for a good looking CLEAN truck!! any ideas for me? let me know

3" blocks will be perfect.

I bought some 3" blocks... but i think that's gonna be to much. i'm going to sell them and buy some 2" blocks instead!
