Hi All,

I did a introduction thread a while back, and said id throw together a bit of a build thread when I got a chance.
Well, got my chance!

Here's my 1996 Ford Courier (Mazda Bravo) Super Cab (extra cab), running the standard 2.6 L EFI G6 motor.
Got about 270XXX Kays on her at the moment. Bought it back in late july/early august 2012. Hasnt realy let me down since.

Here she is when I bought it.

Pretty grubby inside, was smoked in. Very Handy Man spec with the tray and racks.

Same day, I located a 4WD version being wrecked, so grabbed the Front Seats, Rear Seats and Belts, Bonnet (with bulge) and front bumper that was in better nick than mine.

Was on the lookout for a Tub to fit and ditch the tray, landed on an 85 Model Bravo, with Tub (rusty) Canopy and a few other goodies on it, went and collected that one weekend.

Grabbed the Tub, Wheels n Tyres, Front guards (no aerial hole), couple of interior bits, LHS tortion bar adjuster, front and rear shocks, and a brand new set of upper control arm bushes that hadnt been fitted, and put them all on my ute. Sold the parts truck a month or so later to some kid for a paddock basher.

Here she is with the previously mentioned additions.
Also blacked out the grill and headlight surrounds as the previous owner had hit them with Can-o-Chrome and they looked sh!t.

As mentioned, the new tub was rusted where the floor and sides join, almost all the way up both sides, layered with Flash-Tac, bitumen deadener, and a quick coat of Interior Sheen White so it would pass a Registration Check, passed with flying colours!

Also treated her to; New Suede Steering wheel, Kenwood Mech-less headunit (Radio, AUX, USB, Iphone) in the spot where the USELESS pocket used to reside, and Custom aluminium gear shifter, (cut from 25mm ally plate on my mates Water Jet cutter, Edge routered, and drilled) went looking for giant Dildo Shifter and decided to DIY.

Had also ripped out the carpet, pressure washed, and refitted with a layer of carpet underlay underneath to try and quieten down the road noise, as well as a prety big interior detail to rid the nasty-ass smokers stench!

After all that, I dropped the front end 2 Clicks on the tortion bars, and reverse stacked the rear leaves (35mm drop) and added 3" lowering blocks. Chopped front and rear bump stops and now sits about 4" lower in the front and about 4.5" in the rear. Has sin ce devoloped a nasty driveline "click/Clunk" which I believe to be the UNi Joint at the back of the Gearbox... Still drives.

Threw some cheapo Ebay chrome mirrors on her, $45 wasted.

Welded up Passenger side door lock (mainly becuase someone had previously tried to jimmy it with a screwdriver).

Filled the cutout on the RHS of the tub (at the back) where the OEM bumper brackets bolt on I believe, this one had a towbar poking out there. Chopped out the LHS one and filled the RHS with it. Making way for twin 3" blast pipes/shotgun pipes, whatever U like to call em.

Future mods include - Chop Front bar for Fog-Lights in existing blanks
Upgrade to 16X8 Nissan Steel Rims with 195/60-16 tyres
Build Center Console and Cup Holders
Speakers in doors cos dash mounted 4"s are crap
Paint front bumper white
Window Tint
Central Lock and Alarm
Aformentioned Blast Pipes (Probly do complete exhaust as its quite rusty and leaky)
Fix Uni Joints
New front and rear shocks and possible coilover conversion in rear
Would love to do a "C" notch in back end to gain some ride quality back
Paint entire truck Satin White.

Likleyhood of half the above being completed... Slim...

Anywho, Enjoy.

Went to the Wreckers lat weekend, grabbed a Driveshaft from a 98 single cab, fits! rear uni is a little notchy, but its 100% improvement on what I had.
Note to new players, output shaft/spline Carbied 5-speed boxes are different to EFI 5 speed boxes! Who knew...

Also got a white painted grill from a Ford Raider, threw that on, not 100% on it. No pics atm.

Found a early b2000 Ex Cab that has HEAPS less rust in the tub than mine, will go back and do a deal on that bad boy for sure.

Here's the grill I got from the wrecker, still unsure about the white tho.
Opinions?

Started the wheels for the big girl. 16x8 +20 nissan patrol rims.
2x white and 2 black. Lips done in eBay sticker bomb vinyl.

Also got these bad boys cut on my mates water jet cutter.
Stainless steel. Just need a light sand and a polish.

I like the grill!

Those wheels will be really cool with the right tires, I am thinking 195 or 205/40/16

If your friend has a water jet cutter, then there are a lot of super cool parts I can think of that you can do!!
