Hello! This is my new truck. 87 b2000. 255k miles. It sat for a while before I bought it. Plans are to just get it roadworthy and drive it. I'd love to leave my Silverado in the driveway and save on gas.

I drove s10's for years, always loved the mini-truck's from my high school days.

So far, I've changed the timing belt, water pump, front and rear brakes (including calipers, wheel cylinders, pads, shoes and hardware), plugs, wires, and tires. Planning on a weber and a header next. You can read about my waterpump saga in the 2.0 tech forum...it was interesting. Thanks to cusser, dan, and pabartelt for the help!

Still have not driven it to work!

That's ok though, it's a project.

Welcome to a great group. You'll find lots of info here.

I wish mine looked that clean.

Edit; fyi these on a good day get 25 mpg.

Thanks chaser, it looks better in the pic than in real life. It's a 20 footer, and the tail gate is a spray-bombed replacement

Mines a 20 footer as well. I think most of our trucks are. XD

Not expecting any better. I'd be ecstatic with 25mpg.

I got 20 mpg hauling a trailer with 500 lbs between the truck and trailer. Don't know what the trailer weighs its a Luv pick up box trailer. I think I did 300 miles total, mostly highway maybe 30 miles in town. I have a Weber and all emissions deleted. You may get better or worse mpg with a factory carb.

Yup, member of the 20 footer club here too! It's not rusty and that's my main concern!
