Long Tube Headers for Ford 302 Swap FAILED

Just ordered a pair of Long tube headers for an F-100 Ford Pickup. lets see if they'll fit. anyone else interested? supposed to be here on the 21st or the 22nd.

I used tri-y headers from a 65 Mustang.

I used equal length BBK for fox body.

I don't think long tubes will go in.

I had to use headmen shorties on mine I had some hooker longtubes for a foxbody and they wouldnt fit

Wound up had to go with shorties

I used Summit block huggers on mine and that was a tight fit. I don't see long tubes working.

So its been a crazy week this week. Girlfriends birthday, our anniversary, work... but I got a few hours in the garage. The drivers side header almost fits! just have to modify the header slightly where it is hitting the torsion arm bolt. The pass side- might have to lift the engine to get it into place first. hope to get some more garage time this weekend.

I never liked the long tubes because they don't make much more power (at some points they make less) and you lose the 5.0 sound.

It looks too close to the steering shaft as well.

Also also agree keep shorty headers. Long tubes are out dated and for very low end torque. I think. !?!?

well I tried hammering these things to try and fit properly and its just not working, even to the point of making one tube useless- but it still wont fit. I'm giving up on these long tube headers. might try the try-y headers that were said earlier- I'm just wondering what kind of ground clearance you have. might just give in and buy shorty's- man I'm frustrated. >:(
