I've had the truck about 2 weeks and it's been a nightmare!! Thought it needed timed and carb adjustment, turned out to be hole in valve on #3 cylinder. Got that taken care of then something let loose out of heater core and plugged radiator. Built up insane amount of pressure. Blew the drain plug out of radiator, then blew the cap off the overflow tank from steam. Having radiator check Tuesday.
I know on with the pics!!

Anyone have an idea why this thing is building so much pressure inside motor and radiator? I've flushed everything except radiator now!!
Thanks everyone!!

Bad head gasket or cracked head, exhaust pressure is building up in a water jacket causing pressure in the radiator.

Ok so I got the pressure issue figured out now, plugged lower hose. But now that we finally had a little rain I hit the wipers and they go down onto the cowl then half way up windshield and then stop at bottom of windshield like normal. Then keeps repeating.... Relay?

Did they really just cut the cross member behind the cab for the driveshaft and just leave it like that. Wow. Looks like your on your way to fixing the old owners mess. Hopefully its not too far gone to be worth fixing.

Ya they really just cut the crossmember like that!! It's all fixed now. Redone alot of crap. But she's a daily driven dragger!!! It's going back up for sale though now. New head work, new gaskets from head up, newer exhaust, dual 10" fans with temp sensor, new front tires, rewired and replumed entire air system, and just cleaned things up a bunch. Fun little truck but it's taking away from stretches buildup!!

Did you finish your C10? And still wish I had of bought stretch many years ago.
tuckin20s   +1y
No I haven't touched the c10 in a while. Had all the paint work going on with stretch then the little daily plus a crapload of overtime at work. 76 hours in 6 days for 3 weeks straight about wiped me out!! Both stretch and the c10 are so close to being done running that it sucks to see them sit. But life and everything comes first at times!!
