Is there a fuse for the gas gauge? If not... where is the sending unit? Thanks! DG

Sending unit is in the tank. Gauge is powered by a voltage regulator in the instrument cluster. The cluster is powered through the "Meter" fuse. If all the other lights and the temp gauge are working, then the fuse is probably good.

Does your temperature gauge work?

Temperature gauge and all lights work fine... including dash lights. I guess I should check and see if I have power going to the sending unit and from the sending unit to the dash gauge. Thanks for your reply!

Actually: the positive voltage goes through the "Meter" fuse (10 amp) through the fuel gauge, and grounds through the fuel level sender. So "power" does not go from the sending unit to the gauge.

The gas gauge is working... but it is not indicating the correct level of gas. I would guess the sending unit needs to be replaced. What do you think? Thanks! DG

The gas gauge seems to be registering the opposite reading of what it should be. In other words... I filled up the tank... the the gauge pegged out on Empty. Is it possible the gauge is hooked up opposite of what it should be?
