My journey with this B started in February of this year. I was all because of this crazy kid who wanted to trade the B for my Rx7. Eventually we came to the agreement that he can have the shell of the rx7 and i get the truck. After a 14 hour tare down, all by my lonesome, i got everthing out of the rx7 and ready for Josh to pick it up. As He rolled into my buddies private drive i saw this horrid looking rust stained Mazda b2000 on the trailer...and all that was running through my mind was..."well this should be interesting". He backed it off the trailer and the thing clicked and rattled and ticked like nothing i had ever seen before. As I said goodbye to my rx7, I began looking over the truck. Quickly noticing that brake pressure didnt exist, and the inside of the bed was so rusted out that i can stick my hand throught it....we pulled it into the shop.
After replacing the brake line that was burst and finding out they cut a hole in the bed to attempt to fix it, it was finally drivable.

I left it alone for a bit, just using it to get here and there, i decided to run an oil cleaner through it. Lord, I had never seen such chunky gooie nasty oil before. After noticing that just the oil change made it run way better, I dug in. Valve cover flyin, feeler gauge on fire, and a torque wrench so beefy chuck norse himself would feel ashamed, I did it..... tighted up some lose head bolts and cleaned up the valve lash, this turd was running perfectly.

My first mod was, of course, lowering it. only 3 inches for now, cant take to much more that that yet...well then. Next came cleaning off all the rust stains from some damn barn roof...stuff was thicker than a white mans turds after a week at the county dairy festival, if you catch my drift. Shortly after that, me hating silver paint more than a fat man loves cake, grabbed some paint from all of the local Wal-Mart's. ...yes all of them. Spent two days a sprayin away with that Krylon Sea Glass. Got a few compliments, mostly wtfs, but i dont care, it was fun and I like it. Soon, the hood got dipped with the imperial flag, for my respect of the Japanese culture and love of their car makers. I then did a bit of work inside it, mostly focused on moving...and then....It happend..........driving through the hood, lookin at our new house....stopped at the light....clutch in, take off....clutch out.. ..then it never disengaged again..........
Well until I spent $20 on the new clutch master cylinder and 12 on the slave.....a whole 5 minutes to swap the master and it was fixed.

Even more recently I purchased some slot mags and a Yakima roof rack from a fellow B scene member. So far only have the rack installed....soon the wheels will be squeezed by tires and all will be well.....untill the next project.

Here are a few pictures of the progress.
