I figured since I'm new i might as well start a little project thread. For those of you that haven't seen my thread in the New Members section, I just purchased a '93 B2200 from a co-worker. Initial plans are to clean it up (VERY FILTHY) & do some basic maintenance to keep it going. It has 251k miles on the clock & has seen quite a few owners since '93. I'm going to use it as a daily driver & a work truck. My other rides get low teens for MPG's, so this truck will be like driving for free.

I started with the interior. Nothing fancy, just a basic clean up. It was nasty & smelled like crap. Here are some before & afters. Sorry for the cell phone pics.

Here's what I started with:

And the end result: Not bad. Much better & it no longer smells like butt hole. I'll pick up some floor mats from wally world tomorrow.

Next on the list, cleaning up the engine bay. Talk about a cluster. All the vacuum junk is going bye bye along with the defunct electronics.

Nice job!! Keep posting pics...

I recently saw a truck with the entire front end held on by zip ties...

It just blows my mind, that some people can put a fuel line on & In their mind feel a zip tie is a good means of securing it.

The engine bay is a total hack job. It's gonna take me a while to clean it up & sort everything out.

Got new tires today, have an appt with the front end guy tomorrow morning. It'll get there. We're super busy at work right now, so I don't have much time to spend on it.

Pull that carpet. Degrease it and power wash it!

lol. I did. $10 worth at the carwash. It looks & smells so much better, but it'll never be new again. Too much age on it.

Well, front end guy says little blacky needs ball joints. I was expecting it. They look easy enough to change. I love bolt in ball joints.

Brown santa came today. Fixing to get busy giving the B some much needed TLC.
