Im needing some info on the power valve in my carb, I have a 32/36 weber carb and for some time now I have had extreme gas burning with it. I recently talked to zanzer over on the mazda trucking site and he said my power valve could be stuck open so I removed the valve inside the float bowl and cleaned it then took my air hose and blowed the passage out the best I could but the carb still seems to dump extreme amounts of fuel down through the passage so is there a way I can block the passage off like what can I use to screw down in there where the power valve was to stop all this gas from dumping like I am drag racing he also said to check the diaphragm which Im not sure where on the carb that might be located so maby someone might know where that part is located or tell me what I can use to block the passage off.

There is a diaphragm on the power valve where it mounts to the carb plate. I wouldn't block the passage off since it was engineered for a purpose. If you block it off you might make your issues 10 times worse. Also there is a small valve that the power valve actuates that could be stuck open. It's located right under the power valve in the base of the carb. Has a slotted head with a small pin that sticks up through a hole in the middle of it. That pin should move kinda freely.
